When a particular problem occurs frequently with a vehicle, the auto manufacturers research the problem, identify the symptoms, and determine the most accurate way to fix the problem. This information is compiled into a technical service bulletin (TSB) and provided to the auto dealers. TSB's are not recalls and the repair facility will charge for the repair of your vehicle if warranty has expired.
TSB's are extremely helpful when purchasing a new or used vehicle. A list of TSB's on the vehicle will let you know all the common problems that could occur. TSB's also are great in assisting the automotive technician with quickly diagnosing and repairing the problem. Bulletins can range in page numbers from 1 to however many gets the job done.
